My approach

Because every story is unique.

Trained in Integrative Hypnotherapy®, I use hypnosis within a broader form of support, one that adapts to your story, to your needs and to whatever comes up as the work unfolds.

The tool is never the starting point. You are.

What we have lived through shapes who we are today.

But our past does not get to decide who we will be tomorrow.

The body has its own story too.

It can hold the trace of what we have lived, held back, contained or learned to put up with. Listening to it can help us hear, in a different way, what words alone are not always enough to express.

What I help with

What for?

Sometimes, you know exactly what you want to change.
Sometimes, you only know that you don’t want to go on like this.

You can come to therapy with a very specific problem (a fear, a phobia, a relationship difficulty, a sleep disorder, a behaviour you would like to be free of) or with something much harder to define: a sense of unease, a loss of meaning, the feeling of going round in circles or of not finding your place.

When something hurts

Anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, fears and phobias, traumatic events, dissociative disorders, emotional difficulties, sleep disorders, trouble concentrating or paying attention, fatigue, loss of drive, pain or physical symptoms…

When something keeps repeating

A relationship that seems to replay the same script, reactions you don’t always understand, family or relational patterns that keep coming back, a lack of confidence or self-esteem, impostor syndrome…

Difficulties can also play out in our relationships, as a couple, in the family or at work: struggling to set boundaries, to say no, to assert yourself, to step out of dynamics or ways of functioning that no longer suit you.

When something is beyond our control

Tobacco, alcohol or other addictive behaviours, certain eating disorders, compulsions or habits that we often know perfectly well are harming us, but that willpower alone is not always enough to change.

I also work with people who want to lose weight. Behind excess weight there are often emotional kilos, a breakdown in the dialogue between head and body, or a difficult relationship with one’s own image. The therapeutic work then focuses on what keeps these mechanisms going, so that the person can regain a more balanced relationship with their body. This support can complement medical or nutritional care.

When something has to change

A time of transition, a separation, a bereavement, a loss of meaning, a professional or personal change, the need to find your balance again, to make a choice, to reinvent yourself or simply to move forward differently.

When work life and personal life need reconciling

Because we don’t always leave our personal life at the office door, or our work life at the front door of our home.

I also work with executives, business leaders and entrepreneurs on the issues that arise at the boundary between professional and personal life: work-life balance, stress and mental load, confidence and legitimacy, communication, decision-making, professional relationships, managing emotions, or the loneliness of leadership.

My own background in business and in international strategy consulting means I know this world and its codes. It is not unusual for support that began around a personal issue to open naturally, once that issue has settled, onto professional ones.

About

Who am I?

A multifaceted journey, with humanity as its guiding thread.

A graduate of Toulouse Business School, I first worked in business, then as an international strategic marketing consultant, before turning to training.

Alongside this professional path, there has always been art. Art is in my DNA. Painting, photography, film, music, theatre… are part of the way I am in the world.

I am passionate and endlessly curious. Travel, encounters with other cultures and other ways of thinking nourish the way I look at people. For a long time I have been interested in different ways of approaching our balance and our relationship with the body: Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine, Taoist thought, meditation, yoga… Worlds I explore and experience personally, and which feed my thinking without replacing my therapeutic work.

In 2014, after training in Integrative Hypnotherapy® with Djayabala Varma, I began practising as a hypnotherapist. Since then, my practice has been enriched by many approaches and techniques, always with the same attention to what makes each person unique and to what is not always said in words.

These experiences don’t make me several people. They simply nourish the way I meet you and support you.

FAQ

Questions & answers

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state of altered consciousness that we all experience spontaneously: when we are absorbed in a book, a film or a piece of music, or simply lost in our thoughts.

In a session, this state is deliberately encouraged to allow a different, more inward kind of attention, and to make it easier to reach resources, perceptions or associations that are not always available to the conscious mind.

Hypnosis is not a magic wand. It does not do the work for you. But it can be a particularly powerful tool for change, because it makes it possible to work differently with what sometimes escapes willpower or conscious thinking alone.

You are not asleep and you do not lose control. You remain present, aware of what is happening and generally able to remember the session. The hypnotic state can even come with a particularly sustained and focused attention.

Throughout the session I stay attentive to what you are experiencing and to your emotional state. If the work brings up something difficult, we take the time to welcome it and to end the session in the best possible conditions.

What if I don’t think I can be hypnotised?

It’s something I hear often: “Hypnosis isn’t for me”, “I’m not receptive”, “I’m too much in control”.

And yet hypnosis is a natural state that we all experience. What varies from one person to another is how easily we enter that state and how we experience it.

It’s a bit like getting back into sport: you don’t expect your body to be as supple or as trained on day one as it will be a few weeks later. With hypnosis too, you gradually learn to let go of control and to let yourself be more absorbed by the experience. And that letting go, in itself, can already do a lot of good.

Some people even discover they are working under hypnosis when they were convinced it “didn’t work” on them. Little by little, the experience becomes more familiar and the work can deepen.

What is Integrative Hypnotherapy®?

Integrative Hypnotherapy® is a coherent system of psychotherapy in which hypnosis is combined with different approaches: concepts drawn from psychoanalysis, techniques from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and Ericksonian approaches.

It also integrates energy psychology and Alternative Hypnotic Stimulations® (Stimulations Alternatives Hypnotiques®), allowing therapeutic work on several levels.

It is not up to you to adapt to a method: the method adapts to you.

How does a session unfold?

Every session begins with a time for talking. We take stock of what you are going through and what has changed since we last met.

Some difficulties can be addressed in a very targeted way, a phobia for example. Others call for more gradual work, exploring what has been built up over the course of your story and sometimes still acts in the present.

In that case the work proceeds in stages, first strengthening your resources before addressing certain experiences from the past, then the beliefs, ways of thinking or patterns that may be limiting you today.

Depending on what comes up, we may work under hypnosis or use another approach.

So there is no such thing as a standard session: the work takes shape as things emerge.

What if I don’t know where to start?

You don’t need to arrive with a perfectly worded request, or to know what should change or how to get there.

The only thing I really need is your sincere intention to get better.

The “how” is my job: offering you the tools, looking with you for what works, adjusting when necessary.

With your intention, my tools and our therapeutic alliance, we can go a long way.

And gradually, these tools become yours too.

Why do I have to fill in questionnaires before the first appointment?

Before our first meeting, I ask you to fill in a few questionnaires. They give me valuable first information.

They obviously replace neither the conversation nor the case history. They are complementary tools that give us reference points and help direct the work more precisely.

Some results are simply reviewed together, while others are taken up and explored in the following session.

And these questionnaires have another purpose that matters a great deal to me: at the end of the therapy, we go back over the same questions together. This makes it possible to measure, very concretely, what has changed, what has calmed down, what no longer works the same way.

It is often a very beautiful moment: the one where you truly take the measure of how far you have come.

Are all sessions done under hypnosis?

No. Hypnosis is at the heart of my practice, but it is not systematic.

Depending on the stage of the therapy and what comes up during the session, we may work under hypnosis or draw on other approaches.

Sometimes a conversation, a realisation or an exercise is, at that precise moment, more relevant than hypnotic work.

How many sessions are needed?

I cannot give you a number of sessions in advance. A very targeted difficulty, such as a phobia, can sometimes shift in two or three sessions. For someone else, that same difficulty may reveal something much deeper and open onto a real therapeutic journey of several months. We discover this together, without deciding the length of the therapy in advance.

I offer you simple tools to use between sessions. When they find their place in your daily life, they can support and speed up the work we are doing together. But everyone moves at their own pace, with the time and possibilities they have: there is no “homework” to pass.

The aim is not to make a therapy last, but to allow you, in time, to no longer need it.

How often do we meet?

Ideally, sessions are about two weeks apart. This gives the work time to continue between appointments, to try out certain tools, and to notice what is changing in your daily life.

But this rhythm is not a rule: it adapts to your constraints and to mine. We set appointments together as we go along.

Stopping smoking is an exception: it follows a protocol of four sessions, ideally one week apart.

Can we work remotely?

Yes, of course. Video-call sessions work very well, including for work under hypnosis.

I work this way with people living in France, but also abroad, notably in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Geographical distance is therefore no obstacle.

And nothing is set in stone: you can usually come to the practice and, occasionally, switch a session to video call, even on the same day, if that makes your life easier.

All you need for a remote session is to settle in a calm and comfortable place, with a good internet connection, private enough that you won’t be disturbed.

Which techniques do you use?

My practice draws on a broad therapeutic toolbox, from which I pick according to what comes up during the work.

I use in particular CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), energy psychology (EFT, BSFF, TAT, TCM) and Alternative Hypnotic Stimulations®.

The work can also involve Nonviolent Communication (NVC), Socratic questioning, metaphors, cardiac coherence, meditation, role play, or work around the chakras.

I may sometimes suggest graphic expression, when it makes it easier to express what is hard to put into words.

Some of these tools can also become yours and go on supporting you, very simply, in your daily life.

I have already been in psychotherapy. What can hypnotherapy bring me?

You may already have done a long piece of work on yourself, sometimes several years of psychotherapy or psychoanalysis. You know your story and you have understood a great deal… and yet some emotions, reactions or difficulties persist.

Understanding is not always enough to change what we feel.

Hypnotherapy can offer another way of working, by exploring differently some wounds from the past, sometimes still raw, that keep shaping our emotions and behaviour in the present, without us always knowing why.

Under hypnosis, we can work on healing emotional wounds, on unlearning mistaken or negative beliefs and building new ones that are truer and more helpful. We can also reawaken forgotten or buried resources, and reshape patterns that hold us back.

So it is not about starting the work over again, but about building on it to go further, in a different way.

Every step already taken is worth it!

From what age can someone come for sessions?

I generally see children from the age of 6, sometimes younger when they are able to express what they feel, not necessarily in words.

At the first appointment, one parent needs to be present to go over the child’s history. At the following sessions, we also take about ten minutes together, parent and child, to look at what has happened and what has changed since we last met. The rest of the session then takes place with the child alone, in a space entirely devoted to them.

And at the other end of life? There is no age limit! The support adapts to each person, to their abilities and their needs.
